Ballot no. 14
ÖDP
Ökologisch-Demokratische Partei
Standing statewide
About the party
The ÖDP emerged from the environmental movement in 1981 and is strongest in Bavaria, where it drove the “Save the Bees” referendum. It calls itself an “ecological party of the democratic centre”, is regarded as value-conservative and stresses family, education and “respect for life”, from which it derives “prosperity without compulsory growth”, social justice, more referendums and a ban on corporate party donations. It has held one seat in the European Parliament since 2014.

Positions by theme
The same six themes and the same template as on the Berlin-agenda page: the party’s own chapter title, a neutral summary of that chapter, and a link into the original.
Housing & rent
All parties on this theme →Transport & mobility
All parties on this theme →Mobilitätswende jetzt – Mobilitätsgesetz umsetzen, ÖPNV ausbauen ↗p. 5–6
Wants to shrink car traffic in favour of walking, cycling and public transport: expand the ÖPNV including S- and regional rail into Brandenburg with denser intervals, rebuild streets for safe cycling, secure covered bike parking at interchanges, a socially graded city toll, free park-and-ride on the periphery, and no privatisation or break-up of the S-Bahn.
Migration & participation
All parties on this theme →Climate & energy
All parties on this theme →Klimaneutrales Berlin ↗p. 3–4
Berlin should become climate-neutral as fast as possible rather than by 2045: exit coal by 2030, solar on all public roofs and fewer bureaucratic hurdles for photovoltaics, switch off commercial outdoor lighting overnight, renovate the building stock without shifting costs onto tenants, and judge every new public investment by its CO₂ savings.
Education
All parties on this theme →Impulse für Bildung, Kultur und Freizeit setzen ↗p. 26–28
No cuts in education; scepticism about early or heavy use of digital media in primary school. Demands a taxable, insured "parenting salary" for real choice in childcare, free learning materials, more hands-on and life-skills subjects (crafts, theatre, school gardens, cooking), proper staffing with social workers and psychologists, easier recognition of foreign teaching qualifications, early bilingual support, and legal certainty for music schools and adult-education centres.
