Ballot no. 15

HEIMAT

Die Heimat

Standing only in: Lichtenberg, Treptow-Köpenick

About the party

Die Heimat was founded in 1964 as a rallying party of the far right and was called the NPD until 2023. The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution classifies it as right-wing extremist and as agitating against the democratic constitutional state; in 2017 the Federal Constitutional Court rejected a ban only because it judged the party incapable of achieving its aims, and in 2024 it excluded the party from state funding for six years. It holds no seats in any state or federal parliament and has published no Berlin programme for 2026.
