How to read this
- The map shows second votes (Zweitstimmen), which decide the seat shares. The direct mandate of a Wahlkreis is decided by first votes, which the 2026-boundary dataset does not provide, so this is not a prediction of who wins the direct seat.
- Estimate: 2023 share in the Wahlkreis × (statewide poll average now ÷ statewide result 2023) per party, then scaled to 100. Same arithmetic for every party. The poll average is the latest poll from each institute within 30 days of the newest one.
- The dataset lists CDU, SPD, Grüne, Linke, AfD and FDP separately; every other party, including BSW and Volt, is inside “others”. Lighter fill means the gap between first and second is under 5 points.
- Party colours are the conventional ones used by German media, applied with the same rule to every party.
